Most of what I've read about them says that they come & go. That keeping the water a little on the cleaner side also help reduce their numbers. Which makes sense as they are filter feeders.
So having said this and am no longer feeding as much frozen as I once was I shall see if their number decrease. I probably have 10-15 of them scattered about :)
