Hi all, I am currently Setting up the Balling light mixtures for my new reef tank. The old tank ran on all for reef so it is my first time mixing balling light. I made the mistake of adding carbonate while the RODI water was cold. I than put the bin I am mixing in, into warm water while continuing to stir, to make the mixture warm. But it is warm now and the carbonate is not dissolving. Is this normal ? It is largly sitting on the bottom as soon as I stop stiring. Picture of how it looks when I scrap along the bottom. I added 3 liter rodi water, than 500 gramm carbonate and 25 ml trace while stiring

I'm using Aqua Forest Calcium, so a slightly different product. At the moment I'm adding 180g of the granulate to 1000ml of cold RODI water and it dissolves after ~1minute of steering with a spoon.
From the picture it looks as if you added too much and the solution is saturated. What is the recommended dosage of the product you are using?

it is 3 Liter and then 500 Gramm of the carbonate and then add up to 5 Liter Mark.

Can you paste the name of the product?

and then add up to 5 Liter Mark.
if I understand correctly, from where you are now you still need to add RODI until you reach the 5liter mark, so essentially you are missing nearly 2 litres of water - most likely you have a bit over 3litres of the solution at the moment, that's why it's not dissolving correctly.
The reason for this recipe is that you always end up with 5litres of complete solution. You can take 5litres of RODI from the start, add what you need, but then you will have ~5100lm or something of the mixed solution, and might need to account for that in the dosing pump settings.
TLDR - add more water.
