Bam 270 gallon build

Alright I've been talking about it for a while finally have the majority of what I need and broke ground on the build.

Bought the tank used from someone in my local forum couldn't pass it up. 1yo Midwest custom aquarium. Footprint 6'x3'x2'h building a tall stand should be 6 foot from ground to top of the tank. 3/4" cell cast acrylic tank.

Recruited my buddy to tile the floor so far. And now we're working on the stand.

Stocking list is mostly fish I already have in the tub
Achilles tang
Purple tang
Harlequin tuskfish
Also have a couple hippo tangs and a sailfin
Looking to pick up a black tang and bluespine unicorn. Maybe a gem tang if I can find a deal on a large one.

Frag tanks are getting fullish again so it will be nice to have some more room.

Equipment so far
-Ati 60" 8 bulb powermodule
-Reef octopus 5000
-Couple vectra L1's
-Pm1 module so I'll have ph temp and salinity monitoring.
-2 72" reefbrite xho's will be looking for something more royal blue vs aqua blue in the future.
125w pentair uv (oversized for the future)
Gonna pick up some mp60's eventually until then got some jebao's. Also eyeing the nyos quantum 300.



Tons of rock cooking. Tons of coral baking. Tons of purple pvc laying around. Should be wet by Christmas.
