Bangai Cardinal - vent looks bad

My cardinal has not eaten for over a week and I noticed his bent looks to have tissue or something in/around it. Any ideas?

sorry no replies. How is he doing. Not sure I see what you are referring to. How long have you had him? Maybe a little more info may help

There was a bunch of white tissue or something that got larger over a week or so. That finally fell off or something and the vent is clear now. Has not eaten for two weeks so maybe a stomach virus?
