Paul I like the metallic mushrooms in your photo. On several occasions I've had them become the focal point of the tank. I picked up one several weeks back at the lfs and the owner corrected me by saying it wasn't a metallic mushroom, it was a giant mushroom. I guess that shows how nomenclature changes over time. Locally elephant ears were always called giant mushrooms and this type of hairy mushrooms have always been called metallic mushrooms for the last 20 years in my area. I seem to be knowing less and less with time.

I don't know what those things are called, I thought they were elephant ears. But you are correct, names change. Those things get huge when you feed them

This is that same one after he ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich

If they are not hanging out together one is picking on the other. As they mature bangaii cardinals become intolerant of other bangaiis of the same gender. Also, unlike most other reef fish they do not change gender, so a male is always a male and a female always a female.
I have a pajama. Can I add a Bangaii? Will they ever fight?
They will be fine together.
