Any update on your progress with the fry?

Lost them all unfortunately. I lost like half of them all at once overnight at around the 3 week mark. I'm not sure what caused it, but would have to assume tank instability/ammonia. The sponge I had in there was all that was keeping the cycle going. I was performing 25% waterchanges about every 3 days, but apparently wasn't enough.

I've gained a lot more knowledge and have a different plan for next time. I haven't collected the male again since then to try, but will again soon. This time I have a 29 gallon tank with hob filter once they get a few weeks old. I also have sponges being seeded in my tank. I will also be doing automatic waterchanges with a dosing pump.

Several guys who have tried this say everything goes pretty well till that 3 week point. Around that time it can hit the fan for no apparent reason? Next time I will be prepared, I just wanted to take some time after losing them all. It sucked, especially after all that work. I was pretty bummed.

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
