Bangi cardinal sitting in corner

2 days ago I picked up a bangi cardinal from my lfs, I put him in the tank and all it does is sit in the corner all the time, I’ve tried feeding it frozen brine shrimp, the first 2 times it ate like 2 then swam away, but today he looked at it, then just looked away. Is he ok? He also sometimes just sits in the rock work. The only other thing in the tank is a cleaner shrimp and some snails. The tank is almost a year old now.

Flow jeabo pp4 and stock filtration pump. Is that too much? I’ve heard they are good swimmers.

My cardinal is pretty shy. It likes to stay in a spot that is pretty protected.

do you have a good amount of open rock-work?

I do not have too much open Rockwork. It is an island aquascape but the island is hollow in the inside, like a cave, I’ve seen him go hide in there also. He mostly hangs out in the low back of the tank

Mine does not like high flow areas either.
I feed live blackworms and he loves them. Now he eats frozen mysis too.
You may be able to pick up from LFS.
