I removed three of these from a hermit crab and a turbo snail today, they seemed to grow and spread slowly and where very difficult to remove even with a razor blade.
Does anyone know what they are?

Arnt limpets more of an oval shape and can move independently?Looks like a limpet. Not bad.
Limpets come in many shapes, sizes and colors. I usually see them at the beach on rocks on the shore getting blasted by the waves. They can move but they can also stick in place and not move for long periods of time.Arnt limpets more of an oval shape and can move independently?

You can google limpet and search images. What makes me think it’s a limpet is the offset center at the top. Typical of a limpet.Ok thanks, hopefully that’s all it was
