Bass Fishing Thread? Any tips for a beginner?

In my youth I only went fishing a handful of times, with little success and limited interest. On a recent camping trip I wanted to get my kids to try fishing so I decided to give it another go. While my kids didn't have a great time (I blame their teacher), my interest was peaked! I decided to take up bass fishing. . . Colorado is not known for it's exceptional bass fishing (if it is no one told me), but bass fishing has a HUGE amount of online educational information so that's where I am starting. I try to go fishing, always from the bank, a few times a week. I have been skunked a number of times, but had a few "successful" days (bringing in multiple, all be them small, fish).

Any other bass anglers on here? Anyone wanna give a newbie some tips?
