that's why you always qt your corals before putting them into the display too

Can't argue with that! Its the responsibility of the buyer to QT or Dip incoming corals before putting them on a display tank.. I always dip even if I bought a frag from a store or a friend I really know. My acro will look ****!Y after the dip but the peace of mind that u did something tp prevent some pest entering you display is PRICELESS :)

Yup yup. Been there, done that (AEFW free since March of last year-but lost a very larger percentage of my acros in the Levamisole treatment-sure way to get rid of the bugs is to kill their food source;)). Another good idea is to knock off the base rock they come in on and throw it out (reduces liklihood of getting eggs).

All acro that goes in to my display gets a 12hr dip in Interceptor and then I add Levemisole for another 8hrs. Yes there are losses but better than losing the whole display.

i never get wild stuff anyways....

but stuff in the hobby is just as likely to have pests...so always be safe and dip/QT stuff.
