Been Having A Problem With Instant Ocean's Reef Crystals

I add the salt to the water and mix it real good about three times within a half hour. This is how I always mix for my salt water. However, recently the salt is not completely dissolving. I am getting about an eighth teaspoon of undissolved salt when making two gallons. I have to filter the salt water through a 50 micron cloth, which is troublesome. Thanks all

Never used this salt but are you heating the water up or using a power head to continuously mix it up?

Did the salt harden at all? It sounds like precipitate or what not.. not actual salt or something that would be harmful.

I use a pump to circulate 30 minutes or so.

I stir the water in a 5 gallon bucket and make a water tornado 2 to3 times with io then I net all the dirt and junk out of the middle of the tornado.

I never had to in the past.

I will let the water sit for 24 hours the next mix. I may change salts.

I do the same with 10 gallon bucket, except I run the fresh mix through a filter sock on it's way to the sump.

This is best practice. I don't use reef crystals but my salt says to heat to 78 degrees to ensure proper pH balance. So temp and circulation help had exchanges
