Beginner coral

Hey guys, id gotten soo much great feedback from this forum so just figured id ask for more! Interested in adding a few easy corals to my 40g tank w 2 clowns n a flame hawk. Mostly interested in zoas and a bubble tip nem. Any advice on getting started would be greatly appreciated.

In my experience, the larger palys seem less delicate than zoanthids for a first coral. Additionally, any inexpensive, green or orange zoanthid strains are easy to keep (hence their low cost). I've never had trouble keeping bubble tip anemones, but I've always regretted owning one due to their propensity to multiply and potentially take over a tank.

I would get a gsp and it looks well if you put it on the back wall of your tank! I also really like my dunkin and it has been through a lot. In my experience if the dunkin does well and starts to grow new heads then I would look into a cheap hammer. Just be careful when buying a lot of the starting coral because a lot of them can be invasive. I saw you mentioned the bubble tip. I would buy that first and don't change the flow or the light and leave it for a month or 2 before adding other corals so then bubble don't kill them. I would also make sure you have a stable tank with a good amount of Coraline algae.

highly recommend grabbing some mushrooms and letting them sit at bottom of tank!
