Bellus Angel Lymphocystis?

Start with some background information on my Bellus Angel

- Had her almost 4 weeks in QT
- It's a 55 gallon with 1/2 new water and 1/2 from my 350 gallon. I did a 18 gallon WC after medication below and topped off with tank water
- Day 19 in copper at 2.47 with Hanna
- I've done the GC & Metro dosing already (I have always followed Humblefish's QT guide)
- The angel has always had this spot on the top of her dorsal fin since I received her
- Gave her a freshwater dip a few days after she was eating
- She eats LRS like there's no tomorrow
- She swims around and acts like a normal little fishy
- Only tank mate is the tiniest YWG I've ever seen. Wife named him Oscar. I give up, she won't stop naming them

I'm fairly certain it's Lymphocystis, but was looking for confirmation. I think it looks worse because of the location is right at the peak of the fin. Thanks!

Pics are blurry and light could be brighter. While it could be lympho, could also be damage.
Please post brighter and clearer pics for an accurate assessment

There seems to be more tissue disruption than is seen with Lymphocystis. However, the location and the look of this is very similar to a recent case. Scroll down to the last post on this page, and then go on to page 11:

I believe you when you say this fish is eating. It looks like a pinecone from the top :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

If it is Lympho it will probably fade and be forgotten once the fish gets into a better, unmedicated tank situation.

My wife calls me names all the time.:smiling-face-with-sunglasses: Can't stop it.

@Jay Hemdal Funny you linked that thread because I was looking at it right before posting. Here are some better pictures. The water marks are on the back glass. The front is crystal clear. There's some food in the water otherwise she won't come out with me trying to get pictures.

It was more "bubbly" when I first had her and the fin didn't look so shredded. Just remembered that.

I’m questioning if this is lymphocystis or not. Lymph is an additive disease, while fungal or bacterial are subtractive. What I mean is lympho lesions make the skin cells grow larger, making the lesion grow larger than the original skin. With fungal or bacterial infections, the skin cells are destroyed and the lesion gets smaller.
Your fish seems to have a subtractive infection, but you can see better than me, does it look like that to you?

Originally I would have said additive, but over the last week and a half subtractive.

I have some kanaplex and neoplex on standby.

You might want to try neoplex….but that’s just a guess.

Not the best picture because she won't come out much while I'm around. I have to take ninja pictures. I put Neoplex in Friday. The areas in question are now protruding to what I'd call fluffy. I'll try to get a video at feeding tonight.

Never posted a video so I hope this works. I had to remove her big piece of PVC and she was not happy with me. Some food helped though. The water has been a little cloudy since I added the Neoplex.

She came out at feeding time to swim but didn't eat. Breathing heavy as well. The sores don't look any better or worse.

She was dead when I got home from work. Wasn't looking good yesterday.

30th day of copper is Sunday, do you see any reason to keep my YWG in quarantine longer? It looks great and eats more than it can possibly hold.

I generally wait 14 days before moving a fish that has had a tankmate die just to ensure it wasn't something contagious. With this localized infection, you are probably safer....
