Best Aquarium Log App

Question about AquaticLog. The website seems to indicate that the vast majority of the functionality is free. But when I created an account I was only able to enter a days worth of parameters before i received a message that I needed to purchase the Pro membership??? Is this now pretty much a subscription based app?
Yep they changed starting January 1st unfortunately. I got hit with the same message the other day.

I've been using Aquarimate for years. Track multiple tanks. Has graphs for each parameter and much more.

My guess would be that they will lose quite a few of their users. I have never used the app, but I would think that between in app sales and in app advertising, the software developer could have been making a reasonable return for his/her time. I don't know that a lot of reef keepers are going to pay these fees. It's too bad as I was sorta looking forward to using the app.

For now, it's back to my Excel spreadsheet. It's been a work in progress for over a month and I guess I will just start building in some small bells and whistles.

I use Reef Buddy now.

Before that, I used AquaticLog, and instantly deleted the app when that change was implemented.

Haven't looked back. I don't mind paying for stuff, but there are lots of competitors and it's not much more advanced than keeping track with pen and paper.

They have a free version but I pay for the cloud version which is 10 bucks a year. Not too expensive in my opinion
Yup, just downloaded the app and created my account. So far, the first thing I really like is that they do have a Windows based app that allows what looks to be full access to edit and update the account vis PC.

Yes, I do the same thing on Mac but it also updates on my Samsung phone.

The one thing that they REALLY need for this software is a Data Import function. Even if they created a template spreadsheet that people could copy their logged Excel data into and then have it be imported directly into the Cloud database. I would love to have my last months worth of data, but can't see taking a few hours to manually input input it.

I now use Reef Bay. I ended up paying the year fee bc I honestly vibe with the app but $33/yr might not feasible long term. I do like that you can sell coral in there too tho

So Aquarimate is a one time purchase of $9.99 to buy the app? It looks like you can also download a Windows version for your PC.???
There hasn’t been any updates since last year I believe, I bought it, but I’ve been happier with reeftrak

Edit: and it crashes on iPhone 16 pro, 17, iPad mini when trying it go to settings.
