What made you choose the Red Sea Doser instead of the DOS?
Oh, not for any good reasons other than I was a reefing newbie at the time and my LFS recommended the Red Sea doser along with the Red Sea 4-part for dosing simplicity. And that wasn't wrong. The Red Sea dosing lines and 4-part are even color coded for newbies, and the fixed dosing ratios of the 4-part made sense for me-who-knew-nothing at the time.

Now I use the Red Sea doser for dosing the NYOS 2-part, and use the other two dosing heads for dosing nitrates and phosphates, and its rock solid. I just check my Trident ACM and NP testing results every couple of days and adjust the dosing amounts as needed.

And I have a DOS for doing auto water changes, which also really stabilizes my parameters even more.

You definitely could up the lighting for your size tank and wanting to grow sps. I’m sure right under the light it will grow forsure and you probably know this already but the cost of this hobby is crazy. I have the trident and DOS and love it I like that on the app you can easily up the dosing of alk/cal when the readings come out from trident

You look into the GHL...?
I've used the GHL KH Director very successfully. Not without issue, though. The setup is an absolute nightmare, and the forums are only moderately helpful. Once setup it's works really well. You have to maintain and calibrate it reasonably often, and if you don't connect all the tubes correctly, it will leak and destroy the controller or doser (been there, done that). So, it requires a lot of care and observation. However, once you get over all of that, it's very accurate, and I hope to use it again on my new tank (if I can get a hold of one here).
