Im adding to my cart all the pieces I need to build the stand and coming to the supports. I see you already have the top stacked on the four legs so do the angles supports really do anything ?

Yes. These types of supports make the stand more rigid. They don't improve the strength of the stand in terms of being able to support more weight. Rather they stiffen from sheer forces (i.e. you leaning against it, someone bumping it, etc).

I found a guy on Etsy to build mine. I wanted something taller than average with an overhang. It’s hard to photograph because it’s black but here’s a pic:
What is on the inside floor of your stand?

Some nice stuff on display here, for sure ;)

Don't know if mine would be considered 'high end' or not, but I'm happy with it.

1.5", 11 gauge, powder coated square tube steel, custom painted 10" surround, solid oak edging, 1/4" poured epoxy surface, custom lighted bookshelf inserts... fanciest stand I've ever built, anyway :)

Pretty white contact paper. It’s so dark in there you can’t see crap even with a light. The paper really brightens it up......And it makes it easy to wipe down.

It makes the stand more ridgid, it also serves as a way to cut the span down for deflection. I am a structural steel guy so I over build things.

My stand from Chris Benner (he made the BRS stand too). Solid Cherry construction, shaker doors. Had him make a matching coffee table and end table. Stained to match a piano we had in the room already. Best feature: separate section for electronics with a front panel for the apex and fan controller units

I built my stand about 5 years ago and managed to scrounge up a few pictures.

It started with a trip to the sawmill

And then a couple hours at the jointer and planer to get to this

Then the glueups and some time at the sander

My stand that i did it with 2x4 and 2x6 for the frame then skin with 3/4” melamine board. I also added a control pannel for a clean look. Total cost for everything is around $200 (excluding) equipments on the control pannel. Im no expert and this is the second time i actually do woodwork and second stand i build.
