I’ll be planning to purchase a Waterbox 90 in November.

Hopefully on a blue sale and was wondering what the OPTIMAL lighting options would be for heavy sps and lps tank.

I’ve searched Radion xr30 vs 2 xr 15s and it sounds like the blending and light distribution would be ideal with 2 15s vs 1 30. Does anyone have any experience? Also would the ai prime 16s be adequate for both lps and sps? Just trying to get opinions for planning…

Dimensions (LxWxH): 900 x 500 x 550mm (35.4" x 19.7" x 21.7")
Display Volume: 224 L/59.3 gals

Optimal might start with a Mitras 7X06 or a Reefbreeders Meridian.
AS to pricing be aware that Chinas tariffs are in flux and who knows what it will be like in Nov. Made in Germany may be a lot cheaper than Made in China..
Reciprocal tariff: Delayed until Aug. 12 (effective May 14, 2025) added 35%

In my opinion, AI Primes or not enough power for a 90 gallon tank, that is unless you're running lots of soft corals. To give you a reference, I am running xr30 and AI blade glow over today 50 gallon tank. I have been slowly increasing the light intensity over many months to where I'm now at 75% with an xr30. I use the blade to supplement the lighting color range diversity and angle of light spread. Works like a champ.

I don't think two xr15s would have enough power. I would thank you and need 2 xr30s to get a broad enough light spread from one end of the tank to the other, or use strong light bars. There's a lot of wisdom in this forum, I'm sure a lot of other people will be providing insight. Hope this helps

Xr-15's are 105w max. Ai primes are like 50w

Thanks for the insight. I was looking and the WB bundle includes Prime16s for two ends so that nixes that option vs. just buying the tank. Thanks for the responses!
