Hello!
I’m an old timer aquarium keeper but not so familiar with led lights. I have a 90 cm reef aquarium with two l165 jumps since last June and liked to have recomendarions for the best light schedule for máxima clams that was also good for sps colors. Any input will be greatly appreciated!

welcome aboard the r2r board!

good starting point could be the AquaIllumination lights or Radion lights if your budget can afford it. good alternative are the quanta LED bars

Clam require good but not strong lighting and subtle to moderate water flow. Reflect flow towards glass and not at the clams

Welcome! Glad you joined. About a year ago I was fortunate enough to tour an aquaculture facility that grows clams out of the country and imports them. Dr Mac shared details about lighting acclimation and WOW - great info. Check this out:

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:

Can’t say I’m familiar with those lights but if your main concern is the clam health then turn them up to 100% white as high as you like it since maxima are pretty shallow and get white light plus being non fluorescent are not going to look good under heavy blues since washes out the color. I have found if done reasonably slow it’s quite unlikely you will over illuminate them, in fact I have never seen it happen. They just close when have had enough light. I kept some under narrow beam kessils at well over 1000 par just for fun and they did fine, just closed earlier in the day. Primary cause of death of clams ime I
1. Not getting a healthy one to start.
2. Fish picking at it (which many times you never see since it only takes a few nips a day)
3. Not enough light.
