Best Mp40 mode for a SPS tank

I guess i'm the only one who runs lagoon mode (at least primarily). I've tried reefcrest and short-pulse. If i remember correct the reason i originally went with lagoon was because it was remained at a higher percentage of top power for most of its cycle.

I like the new driver's NTM it uses your pre synced wave to alternate between short pulse for a certain amount of time and then switches to random or sort of a RC like flow!! It's pretty random alright....

I run 6 vortech MP 40s on my SPS reef and four of the six pumps are turned up full blast (non-stop)....the other two are on reef-crest mode.

For you fellow reefers out there who use two mp40's what have you felt has given your sps the best flow mode, for optimium growth?
Please let me know if you have them in anti-sync or non anti-sync mode.
And finally are your pumps across from each other or are they on same side?

I'm running 2 modded 6025s and a mp10 on my 65g. I recently added the mp10, and placed it on reef crest mode. It really randomized everything pretty good as it hits the other streams with different intensities. I saw an improvement in PE from some stickler acro that were giving me issues almost right away. I'm thinking of adding an Mp40 which i would run on reefcreft on the adjacent panel..but I'm not sure I'm ready to admit my tank isn't 3 side viewable ;)

Are you running them independently or are you running as master and slave?

Short pulse anti sync. Lagoon sync at night

I do like the lagoon. I have been changing every day. It runs a different pattern every day.

I agree the charts do show lagoon running at a higher output than any of the others.

Yes the new drivers allow much more flexability! I will upgrade in a few months.

I have 2 and they go through each mode 2 times every 12 hrs.

How are achieving this?

I have not been able to run my pumps independently and the instructions don't tell you how to unsync them.
Any help on this would be great!

Thanks guys!

Bump!

If I wasn't running apex, I'd do lagoon or reefcrest in antisync. But I have a wxm so I run mainly lagoon and reefcrest, both sync and sntisync, with nutrient transport and tidal swell thrown in for kicks. In NTM it generates a wave that nearly clears the rim of my tank!

This is the the best suggestion IMO. Its the same thing I've come to use! Nutrient export is amazing especially when you add it inbetween the reefcrest lagoon and anti-sync:)
