I have a 180g sps acro dominate with four MP 40s running various mode. 2 pumpsnon left sync with each other and the 2 right side is antisync.

Asked Gemini AI best setup for the MP40s and it said to place two on the left pane and two the right pane:
Left Front: master in reef crest
Left Rear: Anti sync
Right Front: Anti sync
Right Rear: Sync

Said this creates a diagonal cross pattern that is superior for sps. It drew this diagram:

This is an interesting idea. It said my current setup creates dead spots.

I asked ChatGPT and it said run all 4 pumps independently reef crest is best. It said the diagonal idea was okay but it likes independent.

What you think? both sound interesting

I think this is one time it may be best to use a little human ingenuity and trial/error. But were I to have to pick between the two, chat has it better for sps, gemini for flowy lps.

yes. pointed toward each other to create as diverse turbulence as you can without creating a sandstorm or taking the flesh off your sticks. When your sps grow in, you will probably need 2 more on the back wall.
