Way different. Salifert is 4 drops and one scoop, no shaking, 3 min wait. The 1 min vigorous shake reminds me of API and no bueno.

I agree that salifert is the simplest one. But if you try the other test kits. Nyos is also simple.

You still have to swirl gently for salifert for 30 secs

Agreed its simple in comparison to all, but not in comparison to salifert :)

I am going to try the Red Sea test

I like Red Sea Products but did not like their Nitrate Pro.
I have to assemble the reader, set in a sample, decide if I’m looking for high range or low range, make the test vial.....way over complicated compared to Salifert.

Hanna nitrate....save you money.....Alk and Phosphorous great, nitrate and calcium, crap.

I wish we can make a petition for them to make a new color chart with the numbers between the 0-5-12 range lol. we can have a better judge as to where our tanks are at because we all seem to be in the same range struggling with the same test kits

I have Red Sea pro...hate it. Switched to salifert you can do high and low range in one step unlike Red Sea, and I don’t have to 10 minutes....i hated testing with Red Sea and then doing a diluted test....I like how I can look from the top down to check the colour and then do a low range colour comparison to verify with salifert. The colour comparator on the Red Sea is a good idea....but not for me

Hanna high range.

Super simple one reagent pack. It does take about 10 minutes start to finish, but no having to guess a shade of color to get a solid number.

Of course there is that whole reagent shortage with it right now too. Something to consider if looking to buy one.

I ordered reagents directly from Hanna and it took six weeks to get them. :(

Hopefully they can fix the shortage issue soon. It was more or a less a paper weight for a while.
