I have soft corals, 3 BTA and a SPS. They are all looking healthy. The sps could be more fluffy but seem to grow well. For the softies, they seems to have reduce their growth.

I’m looking into products to raise nitrate safely. My test currently test 0. I have some brown algea problem also I’ve heard of NeoNitro and a one called Seachem Nitrogen. Has anyone used these, or do you have other recommendations?

Also, for phosphate, I’m using a basic “api test kit — not very useful since it can’t detect low levels but when I test it’s like 0. I plan to upgrade quick, but in the meantime, I want to avoid creating an imbalance.

You need to dose it.
I make mine using Ammonium Bicarbonate @ 20 grams of AB to 4.25 cups of RODI water. I have a doser.
Randys diy from link above is about 1/4 that concentration; 20 grams AB in 1 liter of rodi.
I used to dose about 10 ml of that solution into 125 system gallons over 24 hours to maintain nitrate levels 5 to 10 ppm.
Of course each tanks dose will be different due to feeding and consumption.

Does it’s gonna raise the other nutrient too? I didn’t had the chance to read about that yet. But I will

That’s totally make sense. My plans is to have it about 5pm. I have a Nano 25gallons so I’m guessing I’ll need to dose really small amount

Only raises nitrogen. Start with 2ml each day.
Wait a week then test nitrate.
Measure your baseline nitrate level before starting.
