Which placement do you guys think would be best? On the left side, I have a green poci, rainbow monti frag, then a purple stylophora. I can place the red monti cap on the right, but would that shade too much and get into trouble with the euphyllia rock later on?
Or, I can put the monti on the left, around midway from the sandbed. The only corals underneath are some zoas and rock flower anemones.

I think that is a good spot.
The issue with shading is how far out you let it go. You can prune it back.

You can always place more in the middle and it’ll make shelves as it grows upwards.
This person actually had a drag they mounted sideways and it made a cool pattern

If you place lower, it can form a vase as it reaches up for light.

Thanks! As for the good spot, are you referring to the first one where it’s at the top, or the second where it’s towards the middle?

That’s a really cool structure

The video! But I think when it’s higher up. You won’t get the shelving and it’ll prefer to plate more

Hmm okay, in that case it would be nice to have the bowl/shelving effect going on so I might place it in the middle like how it is with the picture with my hand in it.
It’s normal for it to release mucusy, stringy substances like this though right? (It was added recently, and the white in the front is from fragging according to the guy at the shop)

The photo wasn’t as clear what was going on.
And yes if you’re annoying it by touching it lol
