best sand/substrate for reef tank

thinking of changing my tanks sand and wanted to know wich is the best kind/size. i currently have powder like sand but want to get something that wont blow around and creat little dunes in my tank, was thinking of getting the caribsea fiji pink, would this be small enough for a wrasse and still be big enough so it wont get bown around.

Fiji Pink may still blow around. IMHO CaribSea Seaflor will better suit your setup if you are concerned about sand blowing. I do like Fiji Pink, but with today's flow that is recommended it is tough to go with anything less than 1.5mm sand.

the best substrate ive ever used is called starboard lol my tank has never been clearer but corapet has diffrent sizes u can choose from.

The Caribsea Seaflor is just fine for wrasses. I use it and wrasses have zero issues burying in it. And it doesn't suspend in the water column.

The only issue when going with a 1-2mm sand is it will tend to trap detritus more then a tighter sand. So it is a bit of a trade off versus sand blowing, etc.

I agree Fiji pink will blow around. I use seaflor special and reefflakes in my tank. They look alike only difference is reefflake you do not need to prewash
