Best way to seal wood against saltwater

- Home Depot or Lowes for lumber.
- Stain to color and allow to soak in overnight and remove remaining stain the next day.
- Apply several coats of polyurethane (I usually go 3-5 coats) for a glossy, furniture-like finish.

It takes some time, but in the end, the stand will withstand dump moisture, accidents and last decades.
