I know sps brown out in high nitrates but are lps the same? All my reds/ oranges are turning a rusty brown color. My greens look good though. Mainly acans and blastos being affected.

Also depends on what type of lighting you have....

LED black boxes.

I was always told lps like low lighting so they live near the bottom.

What are your ntrates?

25+

I've got a few things going on trying to bring them down.

Alk 7
Cal currently 500, usually 450
Mag 1500

And phosphate ?

Too much phosphate will cause them to turn brown
Good to know. I am trying to bring it down. It's just not happening as fast as I'd like.

That is a good thing. If you get them down too fast say drop nitrate by 10 ppm a week you may see polyp receding or even death in LPS
