I can see why you bought it, it’s beautiful but I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it. If it gets to frustrating, not knowing the id, I would be happy to take it off your hands for your sake!

I was told it will grow. They had another one of the same species the size of a saucer. That's interesting and very beautiful.
Thanks. I can always count on my reefing brethren to help me out.I can see why you bought it, it’s beautiful but I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it. If it gets to frustrating, not knowing the id, I would be happy to take it off your hands for your sake!![]()

You hit the nail on the head. This is my guy here:Australophyllia wilsoni; corallites look monocentric b/c it's a frag
The forum came through.......FYI this is an West Australia Wilsoni. Fairly rare. I got lucky lol. This is him on the website:That's interesting and very beautiful.
Tidal Gardens has a very informative video on their website regarding this species. While they say this coral likes a 75 degree tank it will adapt to warmer water. Mine is on the bottom where it’s a bit cooler.I haven't confirmed this, but I've heard the long-term survival rate of these corals are pretty low, mainly due to the fact that these come from subtropical waters, which is colder than what most tanks run at.
