Prob nothing special. They were selling them on sale recently. I have one, still in the box......along with lots of other Apex stuff......

Actually, they did say it was still coming, but they back-burnered it to get the new system out.

While it sounds great, I am still chugging along with my Apex Jr. with some add on modules. If and when I can drop $800 on a single day on my tank, I am just not sure that a new controller is where that money should go. Of course, by that time, this new one might be the "legacy" version...

Looks like they've screwed over a bunch of current loyal Apex users with no backward compatibility with the EB832. Why is that? It's an aquabus device is it not? Looks like it's only a matter of time before they develop new modules that won't be backward compatible as well. Was looking forward to the new return pump and FMM module, instead just found out we're slowly being phased out. Not diggin' this trend.

Exactly. That's why so many people are upset. That was a bad choice on Neptunes part.

The new EB832 is not compatible with the older base unit.
