Recently ordered and received the Hanna HI98319 Salinity & Temperature Tester. Calibrated according to instructions.

When I go to test my aquarium, the Hanna Salinity Tester starts readings at 38.2 and continuously drops for 20 seconds until it stops at 34.5 ppt. Is this normal operations? Curious as to why the large swing. Anyone else notice this? Any operation tips?

Thank you!

Yeah, Just move it around a little and give it a moment for it to get to its final reading

As the temperature of the tester equalizes with tank temperature the reading will change. It's temperature compensating.
