Hey, I just finished reading through! Thanks for the thread. Btw, your daughter is adorable! She looks Thai, are you guys from Thailand? I have a 5 month old daughter, kids are great.

Anyway, it’s odd that 356 is right next to 153. As long as your new acros are in the ~3xx range, you should be fine though.
Thanks for taking the time to venture through my build thread! We are Vietnamese and not Thai although my wife looks Thai most of the time from people guessing lol.

The 153 is actually towards the back wall of the tank. A little confusing I know lol

Quick update:

Unfortunately i lost my mother colony and triple head from same colony of a high end torch along with 6 heads of dragon soul...found out 2 weeks ago that I had a EEFW problem...

Long story short, one night while lights were about to go out, I spotted something moving on a big frag plug that my dragon soul colony was mounted on. Yanked it out of the tank and killed the flatworm and scrubbed all of the eggs off the torches skeleton then dipped it. Went back to the tank to inspect other corals and low and behold, all the torches were either infected or had eggs on the skeleton.

Removed all, dipped, scrubbed off all eggs, dipped again then quarantine until 3am...

End result, I was able to save 3 other torch colonies and 1 head of dragon soul. All others and my high end colonies did not make it...im so freakin sad! :(

I bayer dip all of the corals I add to the tank but I guess I should closely inspect and start scrubbing now as well! Blahhhh....

Finally found a way to have a water container that will fit where I need it to fit as space is super limited.

I ended up purchasing a large cylindrical glass vase thats 7" in diameter and 24" tall which can hold ~4 gallons. Vinyl wrapped it black and cut a slit to check water level. Also 3D printed a lid for it and installed my Tunze 3155 osmolator. Works like a charm!

It's still sexy as hell imo. The problem with the Z (other than a b to work on) was that it's a dog out of the hole. It's a much better car for road racing than in a straight line. I've been thinking about getting an Evo9 (while I'm not crazy about how they look--they're easy to work on) here recently...guess I'm hitting mid life crisis since I sold the Z in 2012 lol
The new vette is pretty crazy too...been looking at those too, but I ain't rich o_O

Agreed! Still fairly rare to see the Zs from where I live.

EVOs are nice. Contemplated getting one when we had our daughter but I knew I was not going to leave it untouched LOL 2 project cars and reefing woulda been $$$$ hahaha. Current goal now is: if I ever sell my integra drag car, I may think about getting a Skyline R33 GTR... :)

Oh yeah! There's an R32 around here that is sweet. I looked into them a while back and thought the R33 is where it's at if you're a driver... that R34 has too much fly by wire imo. Not sure I could get over the rhd though...

I'm lying, I'd get over it real quick! Lol
I like your taste sir!

Thinking about adding a gyre to my tank but not sure where. I have 2 MP40s perpendicular from each other on anti-sync mode running at max 45%. Where would you guys suggest to place a small gyre? Or do you think I dont need one?

Maybe vertical on the over flow? Not sure if youll be able to mount the magnet inside your overflow.
Good idea but are there any gyre manufacturers that have non corrosive magnets that are water proof?

Heres a pic of the other side of the tank.
