Welp I have made the plunge and bought a AI Prime which should be here next week and I have a firefish who really likes running starts so I would like to put a lid on the aquarium since the current one has saved his life more than once. I've considered plexiglass but I'm in an apartment with very few tools so I am unsure of what I would be able to do in the way of cutting it. Any one made a lid for their biocube? Any suggestions?

Plexiglass as a lid does not work well because it will warp. This has happened to me twice. One when I was a kid and my dad made me a lid for my 10 gallon and recently with my JBJ frag tank filter section covers.

Try the mesh covers. I have one on my frag tank and it works well

Any thoughts on how to get it secured on a biocube? Its hard because of the bowed front...

Get a brs mesh cover kit and heat up the curved side pieces and elbows, gently bend to desired shape.

I have a JBJ frag tank which has ~0.75 inch radius curve on the from glass. I used the BRS mesh kit and the corner clips easily accommodate the curve. The corner prices on the kit have tabs on the that keep them on the tank and centered properly.
