biocube 32 new build

im trying to figure out my stock list just got and set up a new 32 biocube. stepping down from a 100g tank at my parents which is being decommisioned so i took some aged live rock from there. i dont know if i have too many fish on this list or if it is just right or if i could add one or 2 more small fish the tank is going to be fowlr. dont want to over crowd the tank. want it to be really low maitnance so i can enjoy and just do a weekly 5 g water change and call it a day.
2 clowns
1-2 dart fish
1 blue spotted jawfish
i dont know if i can have a gobby also due to the jawfish but would like one if possible

Go for a pearly jaw fish instead. Blue spots don't do good in warm water. Also a goby will be fine.

I would just stick to one dart fish to avoid aggression.

Other than that, the list is fine. You can even and 2-3 more fish if you want.

ok also sence i am using aged live rock and and some age water with some doctor tims do i need to cycle or is the tank already cycled? due to how using stuff old stuff?

If the rock is still wet it should cycle instantly.

Fellow Biocube 32 here. I have seven fish in mine and it has been up for over 3 years. As stated above, you should be good to go. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Can I ask which fish you have? I currently have 5, mixed corals, and a BTA. Debating one or two more fish!

Another bio32 person. I keep my tank at 76 but have 2 orange storm clowns, an orchid dotty, blue spot jaw, 2 evil blue damsels and a mandarin.

I tried a blue devil damsel and essentially had to tear my entire nano reef apart to get him out and return him. SO DARTY!!! He was the WORST, bullying literally everyone and wouldn't chill. Thankfully, that was in the very beginning before I had most of my corals. How do you have TWO!?!? Nope.

I have 2 clowns, yellow tail damsel, diamond watchman goby, royal gramma, yellow coris wrasse and my favorite of all, a tailspot blenny. Don’t listen to @BubblesandSqueak , he says he’s from Maine and then constantly posts pictures of the meals he has prepared and there isn’t a single one with lobster. I think he is AI or a Chinese hacker. :thinking-face:

Yellow tails are a more peaceful damsel.

I don't like clowns in the Biocube 32. Well I don't like clowns at all. In my experience the cube shape and relatively small volume of the BC 32 stacks the fish on top of each other. Once the clowns hit puberty, the aggression begins. In my Biocube, the clown pair (Mickey and Mallory) killed a firefish, Royal Gramma, Lawnmower Blenny and almost the yellow watchman. A couple of these were right in front of my eyes. I intervened too late. Everything was fine for over a year, and then, it wasn't. Your milage may vary...

They would hit my hand every time it was in the tank. If I was able to get them out, I would have fed them to the octopus

ya we have a 100 gallon at my parents. pair of clownfish in their they are jerks i could see that as an issue in a cube. if my hand goes near their home they demand a blood sacrifice. may not get the clowns as i can see what you described happening easily

I’m not disagreeing with what anyone has said because all fish are individuals. I’ve been on this forum for some time and have read countless times where reef safe fish become unreef safe and peaceful fish become killers and vice versa. It can depend on the type of clown, like other damsels. I think everything started is completely true of maroon clowns. I have plain Jane ocellaris clowns that are model citizens to the other fish and my hand . I have never been bit and shoe them away with my hand. That being said I’ve read of some ocellaris acting like maroons. I think it’s a roll of the dice with any fish. Oh, by the way I must apologize, I was wrong, I don’t believe @BubblesandSqueak is AI anymore. He posted a fantastic plate full of lobster. ;)

I have 2 orange storm clowns. Only the female has been aggressive to the male during the switch. Not to me or any otger fish. Had them for 2 years and separated I think 3 times and was only for a few days .

I have 2 clown fish that are a little bossy at times but they seem to get along with my fire angel and lawnmower blenny
