Thank you for the kind words! You need a build thread, your’s might be way better!I look up to this build! Definitely one of my favorites that i’ve seen on r2r
I was thinking about adding them to my 38g cube in addition to my xr15, do get more of the “blanket” affect. Are these capable? I’ve seen where you said you added them more for color but was curious if you ever did any par readingsYes, here is a picture.![]()
I didn’t but someone else did. First is with and second is without. Have you still been running on stock lighting???This is the birdnest today as compared to when I first got it. The growth is kinda shocking. I’ll have to do some fragging by the end of the year. Cheers![]()

Yes, however I did add 2 actinic blue 21 USA leds. Not for more par, everything was growing great but for blue because the colors of the corals were washed out with the white lights on full. I kept the factory light setting as they were set up but reduced full whites from noon to 5:00 pm. In my thread there are pictures with the hood up showing the led strips mounted.Have you still been running on stock lighting???
I would be curious to know how you have them set for programming. Tank looks great!
Very nice, I took my lid completely off and added a 3d printed fleece roller, and a different light, but I’ve thought about adding the lid back on and giving the stock lights a try again.Yes, however I did add 2 actinic blue 21 USA leds. Thank you! I can’t open your video on my Apple phone. Could you pull on YouTube and paste it here or post a picture? I would really like to see it.Very nice, I took my lid completely off and added a 3d printed fleece roller, and a different light, but I’ve thought about adding the lid back on and giving the stock lights a try again.
I am pretty happy with where the tank is at now, but the issue I had with the lid is my temp would get too hot. I usually left the little feeding door open and added a fan to blow over the top of the tank.
Decided it was easier to just remove the lid all together
Anywheres, here’s the tank,

mapquested canfield, OH. Only 11 hrs 22 mins, 791 miles. Are all reefers crazy cause in my head, was like, can do that! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:I wish you lived closer, I sell torch frags for $50 and hammer and frogspawn for $35 with the stipulation that if something happens to my colony I can buy a frag back at the same price. Came in handy once when bjd reared its ugly head. @Linlox
I believe it's usually question number 1 or 2 on most applications and it definitely comes up during any interviews so yes?mapquested canfield, OH. Only 11 hrs 22 mins, 791 miles. Are all reefers crazy cause in my head, was like, can do that! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
