Thanks Frank it’s going to be messy, fortunately I’m going to employ something I have been living by for 57 years and has never failed, “ Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?” It has served me well.you can try to score break where you want w chisel and then break, best i got... ;) :)
Thanks Tim, I do have kalk powder, maybe tomorrow? I hate to do it, it’s going to leave a big empty spot but it is starting to grow up the stem of my candycane corral. So I always use two hands. Support the side you want to stay with one hand and snap off the other side.
Another "option" would be to use some Kalk paste and draw a line down the middle where you want to break it. That will kill the flesh under the paste and should help make it easier to break straighter.
Hey @fishguy242 , I want to remove the left half of the monti cap. I am thinking of using a flat head screwdriver and chisel down the center and lift the left half off. I’ve fragged it many times and I know it’s going to break into a thousand little pieces. Do you have any better ideas? Thanks Frank.
I don't even know how to sign up. I'm not that computer savvy.Hey @BubblesandSqueak I promise, Kevin is the only weirdo at the Smorgasbord. The rest of us are as normal as saltwater people can be...
Aren't you supposed to go "slow" in this hobby? You can always just Kalk paste the edge you want to stop growing to slow it down but you'll likely have to eventually take some pieces of anyway.
We go slow but the Montis refuse.Aren't you supposed to go "slow" in this hobby?
Just search 00W AIO Smorgasbord, jump in and say hi!I don't even know how to sign up. I'm not that computer savvy.
