Hi all,

I noticed that my Biocube LED cover there is salt creep residue. I assume that could affect the PAR coming from the lights. I tried cleaning it with water. I even tried a brush and scraping. Some of the cover cleaned but still have some hardened residue on half of it.

Anyone encounter this. Any suggestions on cleaning it? I’m not sure if taking off the cover and exposing the LED can damage them?

Any suggestions appreciated.

I know exactly what you are talking about. It's like some of it cleans-- but only to a point. What remains is hardened and almost etched-in. I have some Bar Keeper's Friend... I might make a paste and use some elbow grease.

Do you remover the cover and clean it away from the tank?

Not necessarily, depending on how carefully you can be in not having the paste drip/fall into the tank-- and continue to be careful with a big slightly damp rag (maybe a damp washcloth) wiping it off.
