I will be placing an order in the near future through Dr. Reef for a quarantined yellow tang. He has two sizes though- small or medium. Has anyone struggled with getting the small ones to acclimate well?

I've ordered the small ones directly from Biota. They're small but if you feed often they'll grow pretty quickly. I got mine in July and its easily tripled in size since then. I even had a bout of ich that I needed to quarantine it for during that time. I would recommend ordering directly from Biota if you're just getting the YT.

Agreed 100%. The chances of it coming with ich from Biota are so small. You're getting no real value add with yhe quarantine. In fact, I would say you're introducing more risk going through a third party.

I'd actually be concerned that the added stress would setback it's growth.
