Could be any number of reasons, we are going to need some more info to help. Specifically what are your parameters?
I’m having the same issue right now and looks like it is getting bleached. I know my magnesium level is low…Could be any number of reasons, we are going to need some more info to help. Specifically what are your parameters?
Magnesium tests are known to not be accurate. Randy has a thread on thisI’m having the same issue right now and looks like it is getting bleached. I know my magnesium level is low…
No I do not. I am running the al prime hd settings, flow is not the issue it’s facing the returnI think you also need to look at flow and light. Do you know what your PAR levels is at and around the coral?
Looks rough but still see tissue and polyps so it could come back. What is N and Phos?I’m having the same issue right now and looks like it is getting bleached. I know my magnesium level is low…
Dang it.I’m having the same issue right now and looks like it is getting bleached. I know my magnesium level is low
Since December 2023… the coral has been doing great for a month today I noticed it’s completely bleached… took less than 24 hours to do this?Dang it.
I was replying to the op.
As for your situation.....
How long has the tank been established?
Any recent changes to the tank?Since December 2023… the coral has been doing great for a month today I noticed it’s completely bleached… took less than 24 hours to do this?
So over night the birds nest turned into a bleached nest.. I have a Al prime hd settings with the setting set to https://www.aquaillumination.com/signature_series/eddie-putraTough to say, assuming your parameters are good (the ones you posted are but I don’t see nitrate and phosphate), could be some kind of contaminant in the water or a critter snacking on it or pests. . .
Without knowing what is causing it I would personally do a water change, run carbon (maybe some type of metal removing media), and observe.
A number of critters and pests like to snack on these, and who can blame them, maybe take a look after lights out?
What is RTN?Any recent changes to the tank?
Looks like RTN, sorry bud.
I'll let others chime in.
Probably to late for that guy but you should also start your own thread to get more help.I’m having the same issue right now and looks like it is getting bleached. I know my magnesium level is low…
They don't like direct flow. So flow is your problem. No I do not. I am running the al prime hd settings, flow is not the issue it’s facing the return
