We went to ReefAPalooza Chicago and picked up Real Reef rock, Radion xr15 pro, and an mp10 for great deals at the show (along with a lot of other goodies) knowing she wanted her own tank at sometime. Her plan is 100% captive bred and aquacultured inhabitants.

Picked up a very gently used Waterbox platinum 70.2 for a price that couldn’t be passed up. Included nyos 120 and vectra s2. Waiting on some things like sand, heater, little more rock and we’ll get it cycling. Waterbox’s leveling feet were a nightmare to deal with.

We started filling it, so far so good! It’s still the beginning so more pictures and updates coming soon!

Just wanted to add an update to the Waterbox because I never have lol! The tank is going great and is most certainly the easiest tank I’ve had. No nuisance algaes or anything, which was a first for me, other than minor seasonal cyano. Knock on wood. I tried to keep the tank as minimalistic equipment and maintenance as possible. 10% water changes every two or three weeks because the nutrients are always low.

All fish are captive bred and most of the corals are aquacultured, other than the trachy and scolys because my other sps tank wasn’t a good fit for them.
