Bizarre incident at 4am

So around 3:30 this morning, the wife & I were woken up by a loud crashing noise. I get up, start looking around, look out the windows, etc. Don't see anything unusual. Then I hear somebody banging on our window by the front door.

I open the front door (but keep the outer security door locked), and there's a young man telling me he needs to use my phone, some people are chasing him, etc. I can tell something isn't right with this guy, so I tell him to just stay by my front door, I'm going to call the police & let them sort this out. I didn't want to open my door to him, and then 3 more guys come rushing into the house. I'm worried about something like that happening.

So instead of staying by the door, he takes off and I don't know where he's gone to. I also called my neighbor who is a cop. Here is where things get really bizarre.

About 10 minutes later he comes crashing down outside my front window :eek:, grabs the telephone lines on his way down, pulls them all down. He cracks his head open, blood everywhere. About this time my neighbor cop pulls up, gun in hand, so we confront the guy about what he's doing. Long story short... he says he has mental problems, hasn't been taking his meds, but is taking speed o_O, says he sees people who aren't there, etc. The cops & ambulance shows up next, and they take him away. This morning I found blood on my third story balcony, so I'm thinking he got up there somehow and then tried to climb down, and slipped and fell. :(

I don't plan on filing any charges against the guy. Listening to him talk to the police, I felt nothing but sorry for him. He needs help not prison bars. :(

There's a locked gate on the outside of the house leading to the third floor and the balcony. But you can easily jump over the gate if you're young and athletic enough. Which he was. He would still have had to break thru a door or window to get inside from up there. He said he had been banging on every window, trying to get help. While he was talking to the police he kept saying, "Look at that guy over there" but no one was there. He was a nice looking, clean cut, well dressed 20-something kid (to me anyway). Reminded me of my nephew. I hope he gets the help he needs to straighten his life out, but I'm not optimistic. :(

That's nuts. One of many reasons I have a gun handy though. Glad no one was hurt and I hope that gentlemen gets help.

There needs to be more people like you. Our judicial/penal system is so backwards. We should be there to help these people, not lock them away because they caused us an inconvenience.

I'm glad everything turned out alright. I hope he gets it together.

See the third story balcony, above the columns? That cat got all the way up there somehow and then started crawling down the side of the building. Maybe by holding onto the gutter. I don't know, but I know he was on speed and supposedly that stuff gives you wings. ;)

Anyway, my apt is to the left of the columns, first floor. At some point while climbing down the side of the building, he must have lost his footing and came crashing down right in front of my window. :eek:

Wow, scary, freaky experience. I was about to say, I didn't know you could afford a mansion. Lol
Me and my sister had a freaky experience earlier in the year. I was staying at my sisters, and I was asleep. Well, about after midnight she comes wake me up. She said, "Someone is knocking at the door. "
I get up, and an could hear was a real light knock-knock-knock. Every minute or so, it would happen again. Knock-knock-knock. It was so creepy. My sister peeked, out the side window but couldn't really see the person. We called the cops, which unbelievably took them 20 minutes to get there. The quiet knock happened the whole time.
Turns it was an old man with dementia from up the street. He wandered from his house in the middle of the night and made it all the way to our door.

Dude these are the craziest stories. I was watching "my crazy ex" on television the other night that those are pretty crazy too...

They should make a TV show outta these bizarre stories LOL
