Bump on Convict Tang?

Hello everyone,

My Convict Tang recently showed up with this bump on his side. Not really sure what to make of it. His behavior is normal and active and he's eating well. I cant tell if he hurt himself on a rock or if it's a parasite?

Any help or input would be appreciated. Love this little guy and debating if I need to start treating him or let him be.

What other fish are in with it? Any other tangs?

There is one Blonde Naso but they don't have their spines grown in yet. The other fish are
Black Ocellaris
Half Black Angel
2 Pajama Cardinals

Tank is a 180 g
0ppm ammonia
0ppm nitrites
10ppm nitrates

So - what I was trying to determine was; is this lesion something that started from an external injury going into the fish, or an internal infection erupting outwards.

At this point, I just can’t tell which. Do you have any thoughts on which it might be?

The tang does look a bit thin, so you might want to up the feeding amount and frequency, as well as the protein and fat levels in the food.

My thought was that this was an internal (something) pushing out. As @Jay Hemdal has said - more information required

Tang is pretty young, theyre only maybe less than 2 inches. I was out all day yesterday so he is a bit thin in the picture but usually I feed nori 3x a day with some mysis and he looks fat and happy after.

My guess is he might've tried cramming himself into the rockwork, and spiked himself on an old vermatid shell from ages ago when I had an outbreak in the past.

I did QT him with Prazipro for 2 weeks and did methylene blue bath before putting him in my display. I would like to hope that it isn't something internal. But really don't know

I suspect injury from tail strike or similar and with this type of tang heals wierd and may be abcess
