Hello All!

I am calling my reef tank *Black Beauty* for several reasons but mainly bcuz I purchased Black Hawaiian Lava Rock back in 2002 for my cichlid tanks. And yes the curse is true!!! I purchased it at a local Aquarium store in (Sun Diego) CA. It was layed out in front of the store with other rocks and I immediately fell in love with them. So, I am proud to say I made it thru years of trying times now it is time to enjoy these beautiful rocks....

What I'll be working with...

*Black Hawaiian Lava Rock*
*Black Diamond Medium Blasting Sand (Cleaned with Vinegar)*
*CPR Tumbler/Reactor using NP Active Pearls*
*InTank Water Flow Director*
*Coralife Pure-Flow Fine Filter Pad 100 Microns 18" x 30" (cut to fit top of sponges)*
*2 Eshopps Black Foam Sponge Wet/Dry Filter 13.5" Blocks*
*Hydor Slim Skim*
*Neo-Therm 100 Watt Heater*
*BioCube Nano Mini UV Sterilizer (In-Line)*

I will be adding Dr. Tims One & Only Live Nitrifying Bacteria plus Ammonium Chloride for a fish-less cycle
and Waste Away to seed the NP Pearls. Until the water parameters level out I won't be doing much else.
I'll be updating along the way.
