Black box fish fin issue

Hi there my black box fish has these white lumps on his fins. Additionally, his fins shrink from time to time. I thought that it looks different from fin rot. I have included a link to a video of him. He is happy, active and eats well. Please advise on treatment.

This looks to be lymphocystis which they are susceptible to and is viral, not parasitic and will go away on its own. Lympho is a condition and not disease which is viral. Often its associated with water quality issue as simple as elevated ammonia or nitrate and can be that of water from LFS and not yours. Assure to provide Good water quality monitored by a reliable test kit and feed nutritious food with fats such as LRS fish frenzy, plankton, krill and mysis shrimp.

That's Lymphocystis, or a related viral disease. It is self-limiting, but can take months to resolve. Here is an article I wrote on it:
