As the Title states lets see those wonderful tanks lit by black boxes such as Mars, SbReef lights, etc. Please share any details pertaining to your tank and light that you would like to share. I want this thread to show that you can grow amazing colonies under these lights! I will post some photos once I am done figuring out the intensities of blue and white channels. Pictures are Highly encouraged and info on lighting intensities and tank size and such. Have fun with this!! No one here is to judge.

Sbreeflight 1:1 ratio. No post processing. Colors are fairly true to life. iPhone 7.

My colonies aren't that big yet but this tank is lit under a modified populargrow. I've changed diodes out to closely match the SBreef lights. However, that may change in the future. I kind of enjoy customizing layouts.

My BB is set at 17% white and 70% blue. Though for the sake of this picture, 35% white and 25% blue. The tank is a JBJ 30 gallon. Lights are 9.5 inches from the water level. Top of the rocks get between 220-300 par.

I've got to pull my pictures down from my hard drive because we got new phones and I have very little on this one.

Here's one:

3, 165w Mars Aquas units. Each modded to mimic SB reeflights diode layout. 40% blue channel, 20% white channel. Lights are 12" above water line. Par on waterline at 300, using lux to par conversion. All lenses pulled.

Coffee working as well @reeferfoxx Lol

Well, here’s mine. The light is 12 inches off the water surface.

I’m not even sure which black box it is. I bought it at a Lfs. Tried identifying it before but it’s layout doesn’t match anything I could find. Anyways I run a crazy 100% blue and 80% white.
Coral seems to like it.

Check photo 6 you can see them hanging .. and Yes i have a juwel rio thats been drilled .. iT has 2 bracing bars which creates 3 sections .. i found hanging like this helps reduce shadows from the braces .. i should have also Saïd .. i measured my par with a Seneye reef .. i was getting 260 par in the middle of the lights on the bottom of the tank .. middle of tank Which is at this moment the highest point of my rockscape i was getting 400-600 par ..

I only have one brace in my 90..hmm. three wont work.. but two will...
Yes two Will work , you Will just need too hang them higher and also length wise instead of across like mine for a better spread and turn them up a little more too compensate
