Black Milwaukee MA887

So I just received a black Milwaukee digital refractometer ma887 and last I knew they were green? Does anyone know of this? Look maybe to be a global version? Is it outdated?

I have a call in to the place I got it from and they were unaware but are looking into to it. There’s 2 websites on the box.. the first one says USA and Can which shows the green version for sale. The other website looks cheaply made and based overseas and has the black version for sale. I assume we got some international version?? Not sure if they’re switching over, we’ll see..

I got word today that these indeed are the new units. They are rebranding apparently.

Mine is green and I love it

The only difference I noticed is that the black one showed 1.025 with their calibration solution, where the previous green ones I had in the past were always off by +0.002.

Have we determined if anything is better with the new black units versus the older green ones? Is it just cosmetic or did they do any internal hardware or firmware changes?
