Do you still have your black tang?

Honestly, they're not the worst. The powder tangs are far uglier in my opinion. Would I spend $600> on one? no. I'd spend at most like $60 on one, and even then I'd prefer a Scopas. But they are considerably more attractive to me then clown, powder brown, etc.

How could you say that this thing is ugly... Heresy...

Clown Tangs are stunning… but the few tangs I like are generally too big or downright hell spawns with aggression or disease.

Yep. It's a mental struggle all day for me not to put like 5 of them in my tank. Given that it's a 3' ich management system, probably I should stay away from tangs.

I know right? Powder blue, brown, sohal, clown are some of the best looking tangs he must be just trolling.
nope. I really don't like acanthurus tangs, particularly the powders. The colors are just very ugly to my eye.

Apparently you can get it for free from @Anemone_Fanatic lol
Lol. In my honest opinion though. To own a jet black fish, your tank has to pull it off. You either have to keep a school or Rainbow fish or keep it in a nice colorful display. You can’t throw a fish like that in a Frag tank with back egg crate and no corals . I’ve seen one in Vivid’s display, when they had multiple tanga together. It immediately catches your eyes.

I find them to be quite awe inducing.

It's similar to witnessing a solar eclipse I'd say. When they swim across your tank they can fan out and completely cast their jet black silhouette over a colorful reefscape. It's an amazing fish and it's hard to feel their presence in a picture.

Here are pictures of my old Full blooded Z. Rostratum. I currently have a hybrid black tang.

It's blocking the view of such beautiful corals.

Just that attitude tho. They need a LOT of tank to be mellow. I know two guys with them in two different 200g+ (standard 240 & 6ft 280g) tanks and they are buttholes!

Just not my thing I guess. It's hard to describe your personal taste to someone who disagrees with it lol
I agree with Juvenile sohals being bland but the adults when they come in are gorgeous.
