Blacking out Overflow

Hey guys, looking for a little assistance with blacking out my overflow box, sadly it's made of glass so it isn't easily painted but from what Ive read, it's quite possible to do so with good results, prep being the main issue.. Prolonged exposure to water and errosion effects from the flow is what still scares me.

I looked around HD and Lowes, plus went to the local craft shops in search of something thin, black, and waterproof that I could possibly glue to the inside of the box and didn't have very much luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried searching the boards with no luck finding anything definative. Any help at all is greatly appreciated, this is one of only a few things preventing us from finishing our new tank. :(

krylon fusion works and is reef safe once it dries for 24 to 48 hours. ten bucks a spray can at home depot or walmart.

easy bro what i use for glass is sign vinyl sticker.That the vinyl stick they use to make signs or decals.all u have to do is cover it in this and it is very resitent to saltwater.

depending on your location I would use acrylic as a inlay black and it should work like a champ an acrylic shop could glue you one to fit right inside the overflow box and it will no move or you can even sillycone it to the glass I think that would be the best option and the safest. hit up Troy Lee he will have plenty of Ideas for this as I was going to do the same for the back of my 240 as the back was painted blue and I wanted Black and too lazy to sand it off lol
