Bleached rainbow Millie after gfo

hi guys I made a stupid mistake and put in too much chemipure elite which has gfo... the next morning my rainbow Millie is bleached at the base but still has polyp Extension... this was about a week ago... I removed the chemipure the next morning after I noticed but just looking for advice... I lowered my light intensity and have been feeding heavier in hopes to see improvement... how long should I need the lights lowered as I don’t want any of my other corals to be effected (only Millie showed bleaching)

That happened to me with gfo reactor so I tried chemi pude same thing so I bought an algae reactor a more natural approach so far everything is on point

I left the lights the same I noticed if I used it again or added the chemi pure I would bleach more so as soon as I stopped after some weeks color was coming back

IME carbon and GFO can be very bad. I rarely use carbon any more and when I do its passive in the sump, a small amount for only 24 hours max and I use a lower grade. High grade carbon like ROX and Chemipure are very effective at stripping water. I never use GFO any more an never will. Its messy, expensive to run and again like carbon can be too effective at stripping the water. I use lathium chloride now to lower po4. Its cheap, simple, clean, requires no additional equipment and the best part is you only dose the amount you need to lower po4 to where you want it.
