Bleaching Welso/Trachy

I have a Wellso/Trachy on the sandbed. It seems ok, but I was just going back and looking at my build thread and it's definitely lost a lot of color.

I doubt it's lighting since it is on the bed. What else could it be? It seems to eat just fine. Rest of my LPS seem to be loving life.

I do have high nitrates, but they've always been pretty elevated...

I would still say lighting. when did you get it?

I don't even remember. Months ago.

I might have found the culprit though. I haven't tested for anything besides n&p in a looooooong time. Low alk and cal. Will be fixing that over the next week or so.

I had the same issue with mine. I ended up moving it to a very shaded area, and it's rebounded after a few weeks there.

Hmmm. That's two for light. Guess I'll try moving it!

For me it's surprising how well it's doing with almost no light. You mileage may vary....
