Glad you found a good tank sitter. They're definitely tough to find outside of paying out the note for an LFS employee to come by. Even then you can't be sure. I was lucky to have a co-worker who's also a reefer so it was a great fit.

Happy all Winter-Timed Holiday Season... Things! (tm)

Yeah. She mainly came for our cats and said she could do whatever within the 30 minutes. I’ve had her send me a video of everything and then directed her from there - such as filling up the ato and stuff. Seems to really be working out.

I think I’ll book her again when I get back just to show her all the tank stuff for the future.

Same to you!

In a few days, I will have owned salt water tanks for a year.

Okay. I’m finally going to use this par meter and do some tank maintenance, like kill aiptasia and turn some rocks back over. Not really sure what to do after I take readings though. I’m assuming I should change things on my lights based on the readings and potentially move some corals?

Hooray par readings! My understanding is that you're correct - based on the results you'll need to adjust lights and/or move corals to a location more appropriate to their needs. I don't remember off hand, but there's a lot of general guides for recommended par ratings for different coral types you can check out.

I couldn’t get my birdsnest out of the putty so I “fragged” it. We’ll see if moving it higher helps in its growth. Finally got my second mp10 in the tank. Things are looking amazing. Super happy with everything. Posting pictures with and without the polyp lab filter.

Saturday I put a tuxedo urchin in my 60 gallon and moved the pink one to the biocube. The pink one is having a blast, but the tuxedo urchin has not moved from its spot. It was sitting flat on the sand and now it’s on the wall, but still the same corner.... not sure if this is normal behavior of if it’s dieing...
