Hello all,

Just wondering about mixing different types of blennies together.

I haven't got any at the moment, but wanted to understand which different types there are and which ones mean that you can't have certain other ones.

Also, does this affect gobies as well? Will it limit which gobies you can have?

Same question for gobies. Which gobies can you have together?

Is there a chart somewhere that I can look at haha?

Much appreciated!

What’s the size of your tank? Generally you can mix blennies and gobies if your tank is big enough.

Thanks, that's helpful but which kinds are you better not to mix? Does it depend on their feeding habits?
Or similar to the way they say to do it with tangs from different genera?

Yes, I only have a 56 gallon tank and have mixed both blennies and gobies. I am mindful that they all have the hiding spaces or tank areas they prefer. Fanged tooth blennies (striped or fork tail) often need more open water while bicolor and barnacle blennies need hide holes. Combtooth blennies like Midas or orange spot blennies need algae. I have kept all these together.
